Tips For Helping

   Your Child Suceed in Math

Looking for ways to help your child with math?  Then try these ideas.

1. Start Small  Small amounts of practice time and use only a few flash cards.  This will let you see your child success as well as needs Start with the easier facts and move up to the more difficult.

2. Offer Help and Avoid Struggle When practicing math facts... If your child does not know an answer by the time you count to 5 slowly in your head, tell him the answer and have him repeat the entire math fact aloud to you.

3. TIME LIMITS  Repeating something three or four times in short and fun sessions gets better results than one long session.

4. Make It Fun   Try some games with math facts or find an Internet site that has some fun math games.

5. Always End with Success Make sure the last problem is one your child got right!
